VIDEO: Matt Fishel “Testament”

Matt Fishel’s popularity swelled when Stephen Fry tweeted about his track “Football Song”, a telling tale of adolescence and identity. Oozing innocence, the light hearted number pulled at the heartstrings and tingled the spine. So it somewhat of a surprise to click onto Fishel’s latest single, “Testament” and notice immediately a throbbing sexuality oozing both from the track and the stunningly compiled Arno video. The change is no bad thing, with Fishel demonstrating a versatility that really kicks into gear and gets the heartbeat pounding.

The Kaje Sessions: Kimberley Aviso

Kimberley Aviso first came to The Kaje‘s attention on a Facebook feed. Ardent hunters of our friend’s walls, we noticed a chirpy, cutesy number by the Sydney based singer/songwriter and had blogged about her within ten minutes. Having caught news that Aviso was all set to unleash her debut “MIRTH” we thought the time was right to initiate a The Kaje Session and as you can see, Aviso far from disappointed…
Where did you record The Kaje Session?
In my living room.
What made you choose to use this location?
It had the props from my album launch. Plus it’s cosy and warm.
What is the most unusual live date you have ever played?
I played at a little bar in Paris and gave out a few small instruments to play together during a song. After the gig everyone returned their instruments except this big tough guy who was with two even bigger guys. I asked if I could have it back but he insisted on keeping it for his daughter, I was pretty outnumbered. So now I only bring this song out on special occasions…or when the audience is extra good.
What made you choose “Playground” for the session?
A fun and simple song, “Playground” represents playfulness which is just up my ally. It’s the first release from my debut album ‘MIRTH’ that’s now available on iTunes. Hope you like it!
